Who's it gonna be?

Who will be the first to travel ALL the way to Culloden to stay in the new and improved guest bedroom? I know it is a long haul but someone has to be first! And yes, it will be decorated by the time someone stays here.

Dance Party in Culloden

I need to get my daughter into some dance classes!

Not sure what she is doing but she was doing it to the Black Eyed Peas. At least she has good taste in music!

Memories

Alright, Cara brought this subject up on her blog so I thought I would go into more detail. Cara and I used to share an office while working at ASC. Our old boss, Marc, wasn't crazy about this idea but after a lot of whining and promises, we got our way. And yes, we were his favorites! On my last day at good ol' ASC, Cara came up with a list of sorts that she read at my party. They still crack me up and will show others how much fun we really had together!

1. Running in the office is NOT allowed.
2. Throwing snowballs in the office IS allowed on certain occasions.
3. If you are going to have a baby shower, don't do it on a day that our country is being attacked by terrorists. It doesn't make for a very good atmosphere.
4. If you become stressed out at work, driving around listening to John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" with your windows down and singing as loud as you can will definitely calm you down.
5. Making funny signs on the computer and hanging them in the office is not allowed.
6. If you lick food items, it will prevent others from eating your food.
7. If you leave your car unlocked in the parking lot, expect you seat to be reclined, your windshield wipers turned on, you air at full blast, and things in general in disarray. Or it could be moved completely just so she can watch you look for it.
8. Whoever gets the most Christmas cards is the "winner".
9. If she has hidden something in your office that crows like a rooster every day at 1:00, she will never tell you where it is. You must find it yourself.
10. During winter months, the weather in Milton (at least where Kelly lives) is drastically different than it is in Huntington.
11. It IS possilbe for someone to know every song written during the '80's.
12. If you leave your cell phone unattended, when you return, the banner will say "I love Kelly" or "Kelly is great".
13. If you leave a camera unattended, expect a self-portrait of Kelly to be included when you get your pictures developed.
14. Chomping on ice is very annoying.
15. If you go out of town with Kelly you are sure to make new friends.
16. According to Kelly, the on-call pager conveniently does not get service at her house.
17. If Kelly is driving... a minivan will beat a mustang out of a stop light any day.
18. It IS possible to work with someone every day, share an office, talk to them every night on the phone, sometimes twice a day on weekends...and still not get tired of them.

Green and White game...Go HERD!

Saturday was the green and white game. There was a lot of excitement with this game due to the movie (We are...Marshall) filming and the 1996 national championship team being present. They started this new tradition last year. All the players start walking from the Cam Henderson Center to the field. On Saturday they did a mini version of this where they walked around the west parking lot. The parking lot was FULL so it was hard to get good pictures, not to mention this stupid guy kept putting his head in my shots! Anyway, Matthew McConnaghey actually walked with this years team and the '96 team. I was so busy looking for Chad Pennington and Randy Moss I didn't even see Matthew. Damon pointed Matthew out to me...after he had already passed!

Matthew is the guy in the middle...like the back of his head? (I did get some good pics of him on the field) It is probably a good thing that I didn't see Matthew walk within inches of me...I'd probably been arrested!

While we are on the subject, I didn't even get good pictures of Chad and Randy as they walked by either. I did get a picture of Randy's posse, just not him! Like Matthew, I did get good pics of Randy and Chad while they were on the field.

Coach Matthew!

1996 Championship team!

A football game was played but the other stuff was much more exciting! I'm looking forward to our first game against WVU. Hopefully it will be a good game!

Here are a few pics of Reagan. She is now obsessed with gardening. The Easter bunny brought her some Strawberry shortcake gardening tools so he is digging and watering everything!

The other morning Reagan actually got dressed without a big fuss and was in her room watching cartoons. I, of course, was running late. As I walked by her bedroom this is what I saw, which freaked me out for a second. I first thought...Oh dear Lord, she is multiplying!

Easter weekend in Virginia

Over the easter weekend we visited Damon's brother, wife and daughter. They live on Fort Bellvoire near Washington, D.C. We had a great time. On Saturday we played beach volleyball. For those who have never visited an army base, they really are cool. They are miniature cities. Everything you could want is on the base. Anyway, back to beach volleyball...I'm still paying for it! I never exercise! I hurt everywhere from my feet to my neck on Sunday and even worse on Monday! But it was fun. We played men against women with a couple of Clay and Chrystal's friends. The women won the first two games and it went down afterwards! Well, actually, we let them win!

Prior to playing volleyball on Saturday we attended a breakfast buffet and Easter egg hunt at the Officers Club. Breakfast was a typical buffet, nothing special. The Easter egg hunt was held on the lawn in front of the club. It was a nice idea, just not well planned. Drew thinks he is too old to participate so he was bored. Reagan suddenly became bashful so she attached herself to my leg. The people responsible for the egg hunt thought it would be a good idea to have all the kids hunt eggs all at once. This scarred my daughter. All the older kids grabbed all the Easter eggs before she could get one. A nice man who saw my daughter screaming crying was generous enough to take an egg from his daughter's basket and give it to Reagan. That just wasn't good enough for Reagan. She had been to an Easter egg hunt at her daycare so she thought the only way to get candy was to get the eggs. She didn't understand that you traded in the eggs for candy and no matter how many eggs, if any, you still got candy.

This was the line they had to stand it to get some freakin' candy!

This next picture is probably my favorite just because it is so funny. Drew cannot stand to have his picture taken with his sister. Can you tell? We were across the street from Clay's house at the playground.

And finally, Reagan. She is just so darned cute. And yes, I am biased!

Oh, sorry. Just one more pic. This little boy is just the sweetest thing. His name is Sean, Jr., aka Seanbear. He has been through so much in his three years. He has a tumor behind one of his eyes, just finished months of chemo and still has such a good disposition.

This is my daughter's room. I've been asking her for weeks to clean it. Her idea of cleaning her room is to shove everything into her closet. Thursday morning, I had a breakdown. We were running late and I couldn't find a pair of shoes for her. So, I started throwing everything out of her closet and telling her since she hasn't cleaned her room I would either throw her toys away or give to a little girl who couldn't afford toys. A few months ago I took 75% of her toys and made her a play room in a huge closet off the spare bedroom thinking this would be a good way of keeping her bedroom cleaner. Hah! What was I thinking?

So now I have two rooms to clean!

On another note. Cara and I had lunch today at the Chinese restaurant on 6th Ave. We often read a blog by our friend and former boss, Marc. For some reason he wrote about his fortunes he got at this restaurant. He really seemed disturbed...does he not know that these fortunes are crap? Anyway, Cara and I were joking about it so I decided to post ours.

This is Cara's. "When you are comfortable, you can do anything" What the hell does that mean? What could you possibly read into that? The only way this fortune could be interesting is if you add the famous "in bed" to the end of it.

My fortune was "You have a heart of gold". Yeah, I already knew that. Tell me something I don't know! haha

Introduction:

This is my first attempt at this blog thing so it will probably suck! I don't care, it will probably be better than the film geeks blog! haha Anyway, I have two kids and have been married for almost 14 years.

This is probably my favorite picture of my kids. My daughter looks so innocent and is holding a picture with the word "suck" on it...cracks me up! This picture was actually taken to give to a friend who graduated from WVU (she wasn't accepted to MU) for a going away present.
