Drew's newest interest!

Drew loves wrestling now. He reminds me of how I used to act when it came on Saturday mornings. My sister and I never missed it. But man, how it has changed! When we first started watching wrestling, it was called Georgia Championship Wrestling. Now it is Raw, Smackdown, or something silly like that. I can remember working at ASC and my former boss and the secretary would talk about it for hours. I used to think they were silly but then again, I did go see some matches in person, so who really was silly? Ok, yes, it was them but anyway...

I mean, who are these guys? Johnny Nitro? Stupid name!

Now, this guy, not so bad.

Today's stars just don't seem to have the same appeal. I can remember hating the Four Horsemen. Especially Lex Lugar and Ric Flair (Woooo)!

I absolutely loved the Rock and Roll Express. Ricky Morton was awesome! Funny, back in the early 90's I was at Robby's and Ricky was in there after a match at the Huntington Civic Center. I asked for his autograph and he gave me his room number. I still have it and will pull it out for a laugh!

THE GANG'S ALL HERE!

All of Damon's dads side of the grandchildren were in town. This is not an easy thing to accomplish. The two oldest grandchildren, Lane and Emily, live in Southern California. Taylor, the youngest of Clay's kids, lives with him in the D.C. area. Of course, mine are about 45 minutes away. We had a good time, grilling out and swimming. Lane had to return to California already to go back to work. He is now 18. Geez, I can remember when Damon and I first started dating Lane always said I was his wife. He was in our wedding just before he turned 4. How old do I feel!!! Em is still here, until the end of next week. Every year Lane and Emily get to choose a vacation somewhere in the continental US. THis was Lanes year, who chose NYC for the 3rd time. Em isn't much of a traveler. Last year she actually chose WV.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARA

Yes, Cara turned 34 on Friday. And of course, I was there taking pictures. Damon and I went out to dinner in Charleston to celebrate our 14 years of marriage then I dropped him off at home to celebrate with Cara. That, of course, was his idea. He doesn't like hanging out at Hanks.

Cara really liked her balloons! Unfortunately, they didn't make it home. Mary decided to bust them to inhale the helium, which didn't work on her manly voice! The only one that survived was the big silver one.
Where are the rest of Cara's "friends" on her birthday? By the way, who ever won the bet on Stacy's reason for not showing up?
These are the newest members to the Hanks Crew. Cara introduced them as the "gay guys". They were really fun to hang out with.
